- I was assigned to teach undergraduate students of the University Hospital, Birmingham, clinical medicine at the bedside, once a week. I also took classes twice in the introductory Renal module teaching for medical students, at the University.
- On a few occasions I had the opportunity to teach nurses and junior colleagues on various aspects of renal disease and I was allotted teaching assignments for MRCP students at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
- I did regular presentations at our weekly clinical meeting as well as once in the hospital Grand round at the QE Hospital, Birmingham.
- On our monthly SpR training day we were required to do presentations in the interactive sessions. For our medical SpR colleagues, doing higher speciality training in the UK, I had the opportunity to lead a breakout session on Acute renal failure in Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham.
India:
- I am a teacher & guide for DNB (Medicine)
- I have taught students preparing for MD & DNB examinations (General Medicine, Critical Care).
- I have taken theoretical lectures for DM, Nephrology students, Calcutta University, at SSKM Hospital
- I was in the faculty of a Diploma Course in Diabetology, conducted in collaboration with the University of Newcastle, Australia
- I was an examiner in the Indo- Australian Critical Care examination
- I am a lecturer in the M. Pharma course being conducted in collaboration with the Jadavpur University.
- I am the Chief Clinical Co-ordinator of the Dept of Academics at AMRI Hospital, helping to formulate the curriculum and teaching of post- graduate students and organize regular seminars, journal clubs and case presentations by students
- I am the Secretary of the Ethics committee, AMRI Hospital
- I was the guide for a student who did her Phd from Jadavpur University, Kolkata

- I organized, as Chairman, the first National Conference on recent updates in Medical specialities- AMRICON-2008 and co-ordinated, the first National Conference on recent updates in Surgery- AMRICON Surgery-2009.
- Seminars were held every month on various Specialities, with eminent guest speakers
- DNB teaching (bedside clinical & theoretical) was streamlined
- Research work- CRO based multicentre and indigenous studies were facilitated
- Regular lunch time journal clubs, medical & surgical case presentations, radiology meetings, morbidity- mortality audits, guest lectures and student seminars were conducted.
